While same techniques work for those bloggers, they do not produce even 10% result for 90% readers! Ever thought why? The answer lies in one word …
I also gave a presentation on Blogging Basics to some cool folks there and the presentation is embedded here. The presentation is a very basic course on starting and running a blog.
Last December I hosted a small contest with the intention to create some buzz. Though the event had some participation, it was way below my expectation. But the learning experience was awesome! Here I sum up some of the lessons I learnt.

In many cases, people land on your homepage via Social Media Links, Links you leave on Guest Posts, Comments, Forums, and Email Footers and via Google. We cannot control the visitors from Google, but see we can control rest of the sources!
