Tools to Check Google Page Rank: Update is in Progress

Google Page Rank UpdateGoogle is updating its Toolbar Page Rank yet again. I got PR 2! Some of my internal pages have moved to PR 1 and PR 2.

I used these tools to find analyze my Page Rank:

  • Google PageRank Checker to instantly know your homepage pagerank.
  • Web Diagnostic Tool to know PageRank of individual pages. Checking internal pagerank takes time depending on the links on your site. Mine took around 5 minutes to complete.

Though the toolbar PageRank has no considerable effect on Search traffic, it is often regarded as a metric for the popularity of a blog. In actual practice, toolbar page rank has minimal impact on the search traffic. For instance, in the last update in January, my blogger blog went from PR 0 to PR 2 but over the 3 months, the search visits were pretty much same as that of December.

If you got nothing this time, don’t brood over it. Write quality content and people will definitely link to you, rest will follow.

Tell me what you got … Congrats in advance :)

Way to go my friend. Though page rank doesnt always bring traffic, it makes people believe that you are a trusted publisher. So you are credible ;)

    Mine was 3/10 :)

After your Alexa Rank was sub-100K and your page rank was 0, I could have bet money that when Google did its next round of updates, you’d jump to at least 3. I’m beginning to lose faith in Google’s ability to assess quality content. :-D

Thats supportive. The problem is that its Google’s bot that reads my site, not human. btw, I dont believe in PageRank. I know someone with PR0 getting 80k+ visits a month. And I know someone who is at PR6 getting half the traffic. So toolbar PR is defenitly for the eyes only.. :)

I guess PR3 is a big full stop for many bloggers. They get PR 3 easily and then stay there for a long time. Anyway I am at PR2, have a chance of improvement next time :)

Page Rank is a measure of Google to show how popular your site is. Most popular sites get 10, the least get 0.
      Thanks for dropping in!

    Hi Arun,
I actually need for such a tool that will give me my web pages in a given domain along with their page ranks.
But I can not manage to get any result using the web url Web Diagnostic Tool you have directed me on your post
Is it not working any more?
And if you can suggest me any other tool that has the same function, I’ll be glad
    Best Regards

A good site with a couple of hundred good one-way backlinks should be able to reach PR3 quite easily. I have five sites and they are now all PR3. Getting to PR4 is quite tricky, nobody knows exactly how many backlinks you need for that but many people reckon it’s about 25,000, which takes some doing! My main site needs about another 4,000 before I can test theory.

I think 3 or 4, PR5 backlinks can give you PR4. I had PR4 before last update. Dont know why I lost it. working on it now ;)
