The web is not that democratic ;) Attribution doesnt solve the issue as such, some spam blogs also attribute to the author and still get black listed. To be safe, as long as we are not Digg or Ezine Articles, its better to not copy content. For SEO, even multiple copies within the same blog are considered bad..right..? Be unique! Is there a way out? or is there a method to madness? what i have observed is it depends upon whether it is being attributed to the original location? i seen many provide reference either on first line or last line? Though some bloggers have multiple blogs with the same content, I personally suggest that you keep only one copy to be safe. Afterall there is no point in creating duplicate content.
